Regression and Past Lives: Are these things real?
Books have been written, experiences have been reported, and even verifications have been made on the subject of regression and previous life existences. What are the facts?
Hypnotherapists, psychologists psychotherapists and psychiatrists often use regression to uncover causes of various problems, believing that many attitudes, fears and habits originated in childhood relationships with parents, peers, teachers or various authority figures. Such techniques have worked wonders. But past lives? Several prominent practitioners of past life therapy point out that it is not necessary to believe in the theory to achieve successful results with the therapy. Dr. Edith Fiore has commented in hypnotherapy seminars that: "It doesn't matter whether a past life regression experience is a recalling of something actual or something imagined. If it solves the problem, what difference does it make?"
Past life therapy has been successful in dealing with allergies, phobias, pain, depression, compulsions, impotence, homosexuality, insomnia and many other problem areas. A highly intuitive practitioner is likely to be the most successful.
In weight-loss cases, causes can often be traced to past life situations. Are these real? If it works, who cares? Dr. Fiore has noted that in some cases, simply revealing that a past life experience could have been a causal factor is sufficient to correct the problem at hand. Past life theory provides possible answers to many nagging questions concerning life. And there are many pretty convincing investigative reports. Certainly it merits interest and study.
