The use of Gestalt techniques with clients whilst in a trance state greatly increases the therapeutic benefit of therapy. Not only will you learn stand alone Gestalt methodology but also how to enhance any hypnotherapeutic session by acquiring the ability to use the Gestalt process spontaneously within the framework of other hypnotherapy models. The day begins with an introduction to the historical background of Gestalt Psychology.

Morning: An introduction to the history and philosophy of Gestalt Psychology. Frederick Perles and Gestalt Therapy.

Afternoon: The use of Gestalt in hypnosis:

• Gestalt Dream Analysis

• Unfinished Business

• The use of Gestalt in ‘parts therapy’

• The Three Way Conversation

• The use of Gestalt within the Regressed State and Re- writing the script
