Subsequently subjected to extensive research and elaborated by therapists and clinicians, EMDR has been used with great efficacy to help clients of all ages to move beyond their pain or trauma. Since the seeds were sown in 1987 EMDR has been shown to have far-reaching therapeutic applications for recovery, healing & personal enhancement. Like Hypnotherapy, EMDR is a Powerful form of Psychotherapy that integrates many successful elements from a wide range of therapeutic disciplines. Combining these, with eye movements or other forms of rhythmical stimulation in a way that directs and encourages the mind/body system to process information rapidly and to return to harmony and balance. EMDR allows the mind/body system to process the effect of negative experiences within or outside conscious awareness so that you can move beyond negative limitations.
