Being mentally strong allows you to better handle life's challenges and pursue your goals with grit and resilience. I'll explain what each of these qualities are and how you can develop them yourself. By the end this video, you'll have a good understanding of what enable you to achieve mental strength and how you can become more mentally tough. Let's get started!


1. Self-Awareness - Mentally strong people have a high degree of self-awareness. They know their strengths and weaknesses, emotions, values, goals and how to calm themselves down when stressed. Taking time for self-reflection helps build this skill.


2. Emotional Regulation - Mentally strong people can manage their emotions skilfully. They don't let intense emotions take control. Being able to step back, recognize your feelings and adjust accordingly is the key.


3. A Hopeful Mindset - Mentally strong people adopt a hopeful mindset, focusing on the positive and maintaining belief that good things are possible even in trying times. Though keeping hope alive when faced with hardship takes determination, having high hopes provides the motivation needed to persevere a positive state.


4. Mental Agility - Mentally strong people are able to adapt their thinking and change perspectives as needed. They don't get stuck in rigid mindsets and can easily shift gears. An open, flexible attitude is crucial here.


5. Self-Motivation - Mentally strong people know how to motivate themselves to take action. Their self-discipline and strong internal drive allow them to stay focused. Setting meaningful goals is one way to boost motivation.


6. Courage - Mentally strong people are brave in the face of adversity. They are willing to step outside of their comfort zones and do what's needed. Having courage means feeling fear but going for it anyway.


7. Gratitude - Expressing gratitude for the good things around them, keeps mentally strong people anchored in a positive mindset. Appreciating life's gifts, both big and small, enables you to feel emotionally strong and secure, here in the now.


8. Resilience - When tough times hit, mentally strong people have the resilience to bounce back. They adapt, regroup and keep going. Having the belief system that you can overcome challenges makes being resilience, possible.


9. Discipline - Mentally strong people have the discipline to not only set goals, but follow through on them. They make conscious choices to do the hard but necessary things, to achieve success. Staying dedicated when motivation runs low takes discipline.


10. Confidence - Mentally strong people believe in themselves and their abilities. Their self-assurance allows them to act decisively and pursue their dreams. Developing key skills builds the confidence to feel capable of handling what comes your way.
